During the forecast period, the country will be influenced by southwest monsoon, intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), trough of tropical cyclone, and localized thunderstorms.

At the start of the dekad, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Masbate, most parts of Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Caraga, due to the trough of TC Choi-Wan. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

During the mid of the Dekad, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN and Palawan will be cloudy with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). The rest of the country will generally have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

At the end of the Dekad, the trough of another weather disturbance outside PAR may bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas and most parts of Mindanao. Meanwhile, the northeasterly windflow may cause cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). The rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Winds from the northeast to northwest will generally prevail over Luzon, while Visayas and Mindanao will experience winds from the west to southwest.

Slight to moderate seas are expected over the entire archipelago during the forecast period

A Strong El Niño is present in the Tropical Pacific. Most models predict that the ongoing El Niño phenomenon will continue until the first half of 2027 and is expected to reach a very strong state by the end of 2026.

El Niño increases the likelihood of below-normal rainfall, which may lead to adverse climate impacts, including dry spells and droughts in some areas of the country. However, over the western part of the country, above normal rainfall conditions during the Southwest monsoon season (i.e., Habagat) may also occur.

Farmers are advised to prepare for variable weather conditions as the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) has officially ended and the country transitions toward the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), while the prevailing El Niño is expected to intensify into a Very Strong El Niño in the coming months. The transition may bring generally reduced rainfall and warmer-than-usual conditions in many areas, increasing the risk of declining soil moisture, dry spells, and drought, although localized heavy rainfall may still occur due to tropical cyclones, easterlies, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), localized thunderstorms, and other weather disturbances. Farmers are encouraged to closely monitor DOST-PAGASA weather forecasts, farm weather advisories, and rainfall outlooks when scheduling planting, irrigation, fertilization, harvesting, and other field activities.
